Terms of Use

Effective date: Sep 28, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of artiosinstitute.com. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by The Ascendant Institute, LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company doing business as Artios Institute ("Artios," "we," "us," or "our"). Our address is 1 Greenleaf Woods Dr, Suite 302, Portsmouth, NH 03801.

2. What these Terms cover

These Terms apply to the Site, including its pages, videos, downloads, forms, and any online content we make available through it.

Artios programs, including coaching, retreats, cohort sessions, assessments, and online learning (the "Programs"), are offered only by invitation and written agreement. Enrollment, tuition, payment, cancellation, refund, and confidentiality terms for a Program are set out in that agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement controls for the Program.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. It is part of these Terms.

3. Eligibility

The Site and Programs are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site's forms or to apply for a Program.

4. Accounts and online learning

If we give you access to a participant portal or online learning area, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. Your access is personal to you. Do not share it with others, including family members or sponsors. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.

5. Nature of our services

Artios provides educational and developmental programs for rising-generation adults and their families. The content on the Site and in our Programs is for general educational purposes.

Our services are not therapy, counseling, mental health care, medical or physical health care, addiction treatment, or crisis support. They are also not legal, tax, accounting, investment, fiduciary, or financial advice. Nothing on the Site creates a clinical, attorney-client, or advisory relationship. Do not use the Site or our Programs as a substitute for these professional services. Please consult a qualified professional about your own situation.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, contact local emergency services right away. In the United States, you can call or text 988.

We do not guarantee any particular personal, family, business, or financial outcome from using the Site or taking part in a Program.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Break any law, or violate the rights of others
  • Submit false or misleading information, or impersonate anyone
  • Upload viruses or harmful code, or try to disrupt or overload the Site
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or other users' accounts
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Site by automated means without our written permission
  • Copy, record, or redistribute Program content, portal materials, or session recordings

If you send us suggestions or feedback about Artios, we may use them without obligation to you. Information you share is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Site and its content belong to Artios or its licensors. This includes text, videos, images, logos, the Artios name and mandala mark, the tagline "The Alchemy of Family Stewardship," and our frameworks, curriculum, methods, and program design. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, publicly display, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission. You may share links to public pages of the Site.

No other right or license is granted. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9. Third-party content and links

The Site may include videos, quotations, or links from third parties, and may reference organizations or individuals. These do not imply endorsement by or of Artios unless we say so expressly. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Program descriptions on the Site may change and are not a binding offer.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artios, The Ascendant Institute, LLC, and their owners, team members, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Site.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. Liability for Programs is governed by your Program agreement.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Artios and The Ascendant Institute, LLC from claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

13. Suspension and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also limit or end your access if you violate these Terms. Sections 7 through 14 survive any termination.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. You consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept them.

16. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any Program agreement are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
