OUR CO-FOUNDERS
Chris Yonker and Shane Carter founded Artios out of a shared passsion and a deeply personal commitment to deliver a better development experience to ultra-high net worth families, so that generational wealth sustains, continues to expand, and families flourish along with it.

Chris Yonker
Co-Founder and CEO
Chris Yonker has advised family enterprises for more than 15 years on succession, governance, leadership development, and the human dynamics that shape continuity. He has advised rising-generation members of some of the world’s largest family enterprises.
His commitment is personal. More than 20 years ago, Chris helped build a family-business startup that collapsed under the weight of unresolved family dynamics. That experience inspired his vision for Artios: preparing rising-generation leaders for the relational and emotional realities of stewardship, as well as its practical responsibilities.
Chris is a Certified Family Business Advisor, an NLP Practitioner, and a certified trauma-informed consultant whose studies include work with Thomas Hübl and Tony Robbins’ original mentor. A 7th-degree Master Black Belt, he brings decades of practice in disciplined development, self-mastery, and resilience to helping rising-generation leaders forge their own identities and lead with purpose.

Shane Carter
Co-Founder and Board Chair
Shane Carter brings nearly three decades of experience as an entrepreneur, investor, CEO, and business owner. Throughout his career, he has acquired, developed, owned, and managed more than $1 billion in assets across private equity, real estate development, and operating companies, while building and successfully exiting multiple businesses.
Grounded in the principle of Kaizen—continuous improvement—Shane has also spent decades exploring the inner dimensions of leadership through personal development, spiritual practice, emotional growth, and self-awareness. He believes enduring success depends as much on who we become as on what we accomplish.
At Artios, Shane brings together the discipline of an investor and entrepreneur, the perspective of a wealth creator and steward, and a deep commitment to human flourishing. He focuses on helping rising-generation leaders develop the character, self-awareness, and capability to forge their own identity, steward opportunity and wealth wisely, and build lives of meaning, purpose, and contribution.

“As I prepare to become the next CEO—and the first woman to lead our 128-year-old family business—Chris has been instrumental in helping me grow into the leader this responsibility requires. Through our work together, I have strengthened my ability to navigate conflict, influence others, handle greater complexity, and lead with greater confidence and clarity. His coaching has helped me build the capacity to honor our family's legacy while preparing to lead the business into its next chapter.”
